Minneapolis, Minnesota Digital Video Editing

I am a video editor in the Minneapolis, Minnesota area. My editing style has a lot to do with the fact that I also shoot most of what I'm editing. Those of us who do our own editing demonstrate advantages over other editors in many ways, especially storytelling. From the moment I take my camera out on the shoot in Minnesota or anywhere else, I'm editing "in the camera". Sometimes I can develop concepts on the shoot that I can complete in the editing. Minneapolis, Minnesota has facilities with very talented editors---technically savvy video professionals who are extremely well-versed in editing in the digital realm. In fact, if your video is technically challenging, I might not be the best choice to do your editing. If you want a storyteller providing seamless continuity from shooting to editing, I may be the perfect choice.

Clients call me from places other than Minneapolis, Minnesota. Thanks to the internet, I can effectively communicate with clients from outside of the Minneapolis, Minnesota area using FTP sites and posted video. Clients can view editing progress on any of a variety of digital video files posted to my site.

My digital video editing is done on the AVID Media Composer Adrenaline editing system. This is an extremely capable editing system. It has editing effects that can create almost any look you want for your project.

Collaborating with other professionals for animated graphics or audio sweetening is also enhanced by today's internet capabilities. Animator Scott Kaser, has his office close to my suburban Minneapolis, Minnesota office. But my audio engineer is actually far from Minnesota-in Phoenix! Jeff Balch is an extremely talented music composer, as well as being skilled in audio editing. We trade files, and it works extremely well…almost like Jeff is right here in Minneapolis, Minnesota!
